Meet Our Reentry Month Media Fellows

Carson Eckhard is a junior at UPenn studying History and English with a minor in Urban Studies from Tampa, Fl. The Community Engagement Director of her college's criminal justice reform organization, BARS, Carson is passionate about criminal justice reform advocacy and reentry. As a Reentry Month Media Fellow, Carson greatly enjoyed researching and interacting with a wide range of amazing organizations working to transform Philadelphia's reentry community and support returning citizens.

Janie Kim graduated from Penn in May 2019 with a BA in Political Science and minor in Urban Studies. She is from Princeton, NJ and will be part of the next class of the New York City Urban Fellows.

Elena Prieto graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in December of 2018. She first became interested in the Reentry Community through the University of Pennsylvania's Ortner Center's Fellowship From Cell to Home and her time interning at the Public Interest Law Center of Philadelphia. She is currently living and working at a law firm in San Francisco, and hopes to attend law school and further her career in the legal field to work on behalf of others and the communities that surround her.
